How is zero downtime achieved during cutover?
We use continuous data replication (Cosmos DB Change Feed + SQL Transactional Replication) so both environments stay in sync. At cutover, we stop writes to the source, apply the final delta (~seconds), then switch DNS/CNAME to Jio Azure endpoints. Applications reconnect transparently.
What happens if the cutover fails?
We maintain a 15-minute rollback plan. DNS/CNAME is flipped back to the original Azure endpoints, and the source environment resumes immediately. We also execute a dry-run cutover during Phase 2 to validate the process before the real switch.
Is Jio Azure pricing really cheaper?
Jio Azure operates on the same Azure platform with identical base pricing. The savings come from: (1) Reserved Instance commitments we activate during migration (12–25% off), (2) Jio channel partner pricing (~10% on compute), and (3) backup retention optimization. Combined, these deliver ~$165/month in savings.
Can you complete this in just 2 weeks?
Yes — provided the client grants Azure tenant credentials and DNS access on Day 1. We parallelize data replication (starts Day 1 and runs continuously) with application deployment (Day 2–5). This overlapping approach compresses the typical 6–8 week timeline into 14 days without sacrificing quality or safety.
What about compliance and data residency?
Jio Azure data centers are physically located in India (Navi Mumbai and Pune), operated in partnership with Microsoft. This ensures full compliance with India's data localization requirements. Your data never leaves Indian soil during or after migration.
